Ntungfe village lies some 7 kilometers from the main Belo town. It lies between Jinkfuin and Aboh village as one goes toward Anyajua. It has two primary schools, two local churches and a traditional council. People still use kerosene lamps for reading and go to Anyajua or Jinkfuin to recharge their devices. The people practice subsistence agriculture. Crops grown are corn, beans, potatoes, coconuts and guinea corn. The most important crop is coffee, and the coffee farms are owned by men.  Beans and Irish potatoes are grown mainly by women, mostly widows. ***** We would like to thank project coordinator Rosina Hug for helping with the organization.

Sleeping in a single room with 200 or more people? At the "Christian Home For The Needy" in the south of Nigeria, this is normal. Since 2015, the "Christian home for the needy" has grown from around 450 to currently over 4500 people. The vast majority of these people are children, adolescents and widows who had to flee terrorist attacks. Many of them have seen all their belongings stolen and some of their families killed. In the "Christian Home For The Needy" they were able to find a new home and are provided with everything they need to survive. There is free food, free schooling and above all a safe place to live for everyone. As the number of residents has increased so quickly in recent years, there are major challenges with regard to the accommodation situation. More light is urgently needed in and around the cramped accommodations. An Abiola solar kit should illuminate one of the houses in the area of the boys / men in the dark so that it becomes easier and safer to move in and around the house, to have light at night to go to the toilet or in the Learn evening hours for school. The boys can also protect themselves better from poisonous animals with more light.

Village Nièkènèbansou

(ID: 703 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 60 Solar Kit 5W
Nièkènèbansou, a village far from urban realities It is a village in the district of Oroukayo, commune of Kouandé which has already been impacted by the NGO ABIOLA in the sense that the primary school group A of the said village registered under the ID 649 in the luminous portal of ABIOLA, benefited from a turbocharger to the delight of schoolchildren who derive great benefit from it. It is because of this that the elders of the village would like once again to seek the assistance of this NGO in order to allow poor families, and God knows that there are many of them, to benefit from family solar kits, in order to allow not only distant learners of their schools to have something to learn their lessons and to the good women who carry out income-generating activities to carry them out well without the negative influence of the night. All the tours made in the village of Nièkènèbansou have actually enabled me to realize that women are fighting in this village in order to contribute to the well-being of their different communities and support in this direction would only boost development expected and so desired so that from now on each family can meet the basic needs of man. The size of the village and the precarious life led me to extend the number of families to 60 as indicated in the following list: 1-SOTIMA Winrikou, 2-NTCHA Ténè, 3-MPO KOUAGOU Michel, 4-TCHOROMI Kouaguiré, 5-YELIKE Nestor, 6-BONI Félicia, 7-guerra Chabi Benoît, 8-BAGRI Mora, 9-GUERRA Clément, 10-GOUNOU Kora, 11-BAGRI Baké Manou, 12-WASSAGUI A O Doko, 13-soke Songui N'douro , 14-TANMAN Sabi Karabiyé, 15-MIDARIGUI Zakari, 16-OROU DEMON Sinadogui, 17-BORIGUI Bernard, 18-BAKU Zakari, 19-DAFIA Mora, 20-SINAGBAROUGUI Sabi, 21-BAKU Yacoubou, 22-KOUBOUGUI KOURA Orou Clément, 23-BOUSSIKIROGUI Orou Sorou, 24-IDRISSOU Worou,25-BAKU Bokouré,26-BAKU Sabi, 27-BOYAGUI Gilbert,28-OROU TASSO YAYA Gracia, 29-BOUSSOU André,30-KORA Yarou,31-GOUNOU Léonard,32- BAH SABI Yararissounon, 33-KOURA NGOBI Simè, 34-TAMOU Kanta N'gobi, 35-BAPARAPE Ibrahim, 36-BAPARAPE Mamam, 37-BACHABI Pierre, 38-SIANOU Kora, 39-KANTA NGOBI Kora, 40-BOUKO Joseph, 41 - GUERRA Amouda, 42-NORA Karim, 43-TIKOUGUI Sabi, 44-GUERRA Sinagoura, 45-BOURANG UI Bernard, 46-OROU YERIMA Bio, 47- OROU Sabi, 48-TAÏROU Issa, 49-BOURANGUI Soumanou, 50-GUERE Zakari, 51-TIKA NDE Kora, 52-MATAYAYE Karim, 53-CHABI YO Nongui, 54-BOUSSIKIROGUI Siyo ,55-TAMOU Gniré,56-YAOURE Gbaoussounon,57-DAMISSA BIO Sidi,58-GANIGUI Adam, 59-TIKOUGUI Boco N'yo, 60-HAROUNA Moussa

Familien SolarKits für Boritchèrèya

(ID: 767 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 28 Solar Kit 5W
As is the case with the village of Tchantangou, access to Boritchèrèya is not easy, especially in the rainy season. Apart from the school, the village has no other infrastructure. For health and maternity needs, for example, people have to travel long distances either on foot or by motorbike. To these penalties suffered by these populations is added the lack of electricity which hinders many who play a lot on the results of the schoolchildren. Faced with all this, the NGO ABIOLA, whose generosity and commitment to Africa are well established, will undoubtedly pay special attention to the benefit of these families, to bring them out of obscurity and to allow the same opportunity for schoolchildren to revise their lessons and for parents to recharge their mobile phones, the means of communication par excellence all over the world The families below are once again waiting to see the manifestation of his affection for the African peoples in general and for those of Boritchèrèya in particular 1-OBRIKE Idakou 2-NTCHA Tépè Marcelline 3-SAGUI Elisabeth 4- NTCHA Paul 5-NTCHA Elisabeth 6-NTCHA Benoit 7-OKPANRI NTCHA Sylvestre 8-NATTE Rachelle 9- KOUAGOU Blandine 10-NKOUEI Julienne 11-TETO Blandine 12-NAHINI Philomène 13-KOUAGOU Laurent 14-NTCHA Firmin 15-NKOUEI N Nathaniel 16-NATTA Cécile 17-KOUAGOU Pascaline 18-KOUAGOU Martine19-KOUAGOU Ténè 20-NTCHA Jean 21-KOUAGOU Victorine 22-NDAH Kanti 23-DIMONTE Ntcha 24-KOUAGOU Kouagou 25-NIMONTE Nkouei 26-NTCHA Ténè 27-NDAH Cathérine 28-MPO Monique ***** Ein großes Dankeschön an Betreuer René Sobabe ABIOLA-TEAM.

Product(s): 52 Solar Kit 5W
Atacora Region in Kouandé. The villages are multiple and multifaceted but unfortunately their way of life is almost identical in the sense that all live in very difficult conditions and making ends meet is an obstacle course. The village of Sowawolou that I visited presents the same signs as those visited previously and is only waiting for the assistance of the NGO ABIOLA to get it out of this way of life of past centuries. Light, drinking water and I forget some are almost non-existent commodities in this village and families who have a few strands of light have had to spend a lot before getting it. The majority forgive, almost all people living without any stable income are forced to observe their children without the slightest light that would allow them to learn their lessons every evening after school. Hence the cry from the heart of these populations towards the NGO ABIOLA in order to get them out of this precarious situation for a glimmer of hope. To do this, here are the few families taken into account in this village: 1- BAKOU Orou Piou ,2- BAKOU Ibrahim, 3-DIBOUKERE Yaya, 4-TIKANDE Mora, 5-BAKOU Sakiou,6-YAKOU Séidou, 7-YAKOU Fatouma,8-NICOLAS Douwé,9-SAKARIGUI Kpessi,10-BRISSO Sana, 11-SAOUREGUI Bio, 12-BIO Séidou, 13-BIO Habib,14-*LAFIA Yarou, 15-OROU TASSOU Bio Soudeur, 16-KARIGUI Nikki, 17-BOUSSOU Babèro,18-TAMOU Séro, 19-TAMOU Kora, 20-BAKOU Salamatou,21-MORA Gnaki,22- TAKOU B. (ID: 821 | Status: Open)
Organization: ABIOLA gGmbH
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Ghana (Afrika)
Product(s): 55 Solar Kit 5W
Teogo Yapala is located in the Bawku West District (Zebilla) of Ghana. It's a new settlement area comprising various types of tribes including kusasis,Bisas,Fulanis and Yaas. The main occupation of the people is farming, they cultivate crops such as cabbage, onions, tomatoes, green pepper, Millet, maize and etc. The community lacks some social amenities such as electricity, toilets, schools and clinics. The people have to always travel for about 5 kilometers to access the above listed amenities and this has attributed to high level of school drop out and maternal deaths. The people are peace loving people and co- exist peacefully with each other dispite their tribal differences. Indegenes in this community are impoverished by poverty and are also completely cut of from any social supoort of the government such as water, electricity, school, and health facilities. The main income generating activities for these locals is the sale of produce from their farms and burning of logs into charcoal. This source of livelihood is not sustainable for the indegenes but they have no option available to them. The community looks forward to receiving the solar kits that will help them in many ways; it will support the women in cooking family meals and also assist students in their daily studies. The Teogo Yapala community is currently cut off from the national grid and it will be a great news for families to get the solar kits. The registered families are as follows; 1. Azinkit Tarrifor 2. NGO VILLAGE BETHANIE

(ID: 664 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Waisenhaus
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 1 Solar System 60W
NGO VILLAGE BETHANIA The orphanage called NGO VILLAGE BETHANIE, founded in 2014, is located in the center of Benin precisely in Dassa Zoumè and has 25 residents, including 17 girls and 8 boys. Some of the orphans are studying sewing and hairdressing in town, but most of the orphans are students. There is a very serious problem at this orphanage and that is that of the lighting that exposes the children who live there to snake bites and scorpion stings. After nightfall, the children are forced to stay in their rooms at the risk of being injured by one of these reptiles. The news about the existence of the NGO ABIOLA, which is active in the field of solar energy, was a great relief for the organizer, Pastor SAMBIENI Festus. For this he would like to use the help of ABIOLA by providing this orphanage with a turbocharger, which from then on secures the site. He would like to thank the NGO ABIOLA, which will undoubtedly have an attentive ear for his heart's cry. ***** Many thanks to the organizer Rene Sobabe. ABIOLA TEAM.

PONG-TAMALE A/G SCHOOL

(ID: 756 | Status: Open)
Type: Projekt
Category: Schule
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Ghana (Afrika)
Product(s): 4 Raspberry Pi PC
Rev. Silas is the current pastor in charge of the Pong Tamale Assemblies of God International school at Pong Tamale. It was founded in the year 1990 in Pong Tamale, Ghana's Northern Region. The school now has a total population of 350 students, with 200 females representing 51% and 150 males representing 49%. The school has fifteen (12) teaching personnel and four (3) non-teaching staff from NURSERY to JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL. There are just five computers in use in the school's computer lab. More computers are needed at the school to support successful ICT teaching and learning, as well as to assist students in accessing material from the internet via various search engines. Classes are held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the week. The students' interest has been sparked by the repositioned PCs. Students frequently outperform their teachers in terms of learning speed. We also hope to employ technology to recognise and improve particular student abilities. Teachers can also use computers to better their education. Adult education via computer is also possible for parents and villagers. In addition, we have installed an Internet connection so that students can access the ABIOLA online Academy. Adults can use computers to obtain information for business, shopping, and medical needs, among other things. We are aware that if our students complete their courses successfully, we will receive extra computers from ABIOLA. Rev. Daniel, our General Manager, deserves our appreciation. ***** ABIOLA is pleased to be able to contribute to the education of students in Ghana. Many thanks for assistance in setting up the computers to Pastor Dr. Daniel Ayembilla, Referee Andrew Jeremiah Nai-Mensah, Referee Jeffery Ayembilla, and Phillip and David and all the other helpers.

Dorf Sèkou,

(ID: 653 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 24 Solar Kit 5W
Name: Sèkou, a very landlocked hamlet; Number of families: 24. Description of the project 11: Sèkou, a very landlocked hamlet. The list of hard-to-reach villages in this region of Benin is quite long and the problems from one village to another are multifaceted. Sèkou, the hamlet in which I worked last Friday May 28 is an illustration of this. A track leads to this hamlet of about twenty houses surrounded by a few camps of Fulani herdsmen. The population of this hamlet is exclusively peasant. There is no trace of electrical energy in this hamlet, which is nevertheless an essential commodity for the socio-economic development of the area. The schoolchildren here, as in the many villages already visited, are left to themselves after school. Once at home, after dark, they have no other activity to do than sleep and it is only during moonlight periods that a few children are noticeable in the playgrounds for childhood games. But unfortunately you agree with me that moonlight is not a sufficient commodity for them to learn their lessons. It is for this reason that the NGO ABIOLA is still called upon here to help these children learn their lessons and thereby improve their school results, the only guarantee of real development. 24 families have been registered in this hamlet, let's say in short the whole hamlet: ***** 1-SINROU Kouagou, 2-BABARE Emile, 3-DORE Sanni, 4-TABOUSSOUNON Orou, 5-TABOUSSOUNON Clément, 6- TABOUSSOUNON Damien , 7-DORE Boni, 8-SIME Félix, 9- ZIME C Modeste, 10-SONTA Emma, 11-SIME Bio, 12- BIO YERIMA Mamoudou, 13-BIO YERIMA Jean, 14- DARI Justin, 15-BIO YERIMA Richard, 16- SANGA David, 17- MOUSSA Bio, 18- SIME Jeanne, 19- GADO sanni, 20- FAROUKOU Amadou, 21- BIO Boni, 22-BOUBAKARI Gani, 23-BOUBAKARI Nankparo, 24- SANNI Oumarou ***** A big thanks to supervisor René Sobabe ABIOLA-TEAM.

Sèkèrè is the capital of the district whose name it bears. It is one of the districts of the commune of Sinendé in the Borgou department. This village is renowned in the agricultural sector. Corn, soybeans, yams and other agricultural products are produced there. Several women in this village devote themselves to commercial activities, others to rural work in the company of their husbands and some to sewing, weaving, hairdressing and I happily forget some. Pupils and schoolchildren are doing as best they can when it comes to their studies. ABIOLA, like everywhere else, is still in demand to give a beneficial helping hand to these multiple populations who are only waiting for the donation of family solar kits to see their daily lives changed. (ID: 687 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Schule
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Ghana (Afrika)
Product(s): 6 Raspberry Pi PC, 1 Solar System 260W
The school Assemblies of God Educational Complex was founded in the year 2014 by the Assemblies of God women's ministry since then, Mrs. Mary Senaye and Rev Johnnie TK Kuzagbe have been running the school. The 18 teachers teach a total of 235 students in the departments Kindergarten, Primary and JHS In addition to a kindergarten, there are also 6 different school classes. Next to the elementary school there is also a Junior High School with currently 42 students. The relationship between girls and boys is roughly balanced. The school clothes are preferably yellow, blue and Green with our school logo. It is very important to us that our children are brought up in the Christian faith and that they learn to deal with teachers and classmates in a disciplined manner. Classes take place during the week from 8pm to 2:30 pm. The transferred computers arouse great interest on the part of the students. Often times, students learn faster than teachers can teach them. We also try to use the computer to recognize special abilities of students and to promote them accordingly. The computers also enable teachers to further educate themselves. Adult education for parents and villagers is also possible with the computer. We have also set up an Internet that allows students to study the ABIOLA online Academy courses. Adults can also use the computers to obtain information for work, procurement, medicine, and many other areas. We are aware that we will get even more computers from ABIOLA if our students study their courses appropriately. Thanks to our supervisor, Rev Dr. Daniel Ayembilla. ***** ABIOLA is happy to contribute to the education of the students in Ghana. Gando is a village located in the northeast of Benin and more precisely in the district of Sinendé, commune of Sinendé in the department of Borgou. The populations of this village were admirers of the donation that ABIOLA had to make to the villages of Gnaro and Sinéndé in 2022. Just like the previous villages, Gando lives from work in the fields and then the women much more from activities which allow them to put a little money in their pocket with which they participate in the life of their family. ABIOLA, through what is already done in this municipality, is seen as a savior of the populations. Today all the populations who have heard of this beneficial work of ABIOLA continue to ask us to help them out of this suffering. 50 families in total are registered: 1-BIO WARA Dado, 2-BIO GANDE Zénabou, 3-BRISSO Maria,4-GOUNOU Alfa Kouro,5-ASSOUMA Nouré, 6-SOUROKOU Benjamin, 7-ANDEMI Mariam, 8-ASSOUMA Fousséna, 9-ZAKARI Bonayô, 10-ZAKARI Bèrô, 11-KORA SABI M Lamatou, 12-YAROU KININNIN MAMA sabi, 13-DANKORO Issifou, 14-SERO Bougnon, 15-GOUNOU Rachida, 16-BATOKO Zouma, 17-SERO Démon,18-OROU MERE Moutakilou, 19-OROU BOKO Nintinno,20-BIO Lahana,21-YAROU KINNIN Adissa, 22-SERO Gniré,23-ABDOULAYE Bachirou, 24-SEIDOU Adizatou, 25-SANNI BIO Soudeur, 26-SAKA Loubatou, 27-YATAOU Souradou, 28-OROU GANNI BIO Lahina,29-YATAOU SAKA Bernadette, 30-TAKA ADAM Djamila, 31-TAKA ADAM Sadia,32-OROU GOURA Amina, 33-TAKA DAOUDA Salima,34- OROU BOKO Saka,35-OROU GANNI Mouzana,36-OROU GNARO Gniré,27-SANNI KINTA Amizatou, 38-SOUNONYO Afirouwa,39- SAKA GOUNOU Toungou, 40-SANNI KASSIM Sakina,41-YAROU GOURA Yérimankourô,42TASSIKI Péno, 43-GNON Kparakou Méro, 44-OROU BOKO Gbéré, 45-TANNABOU BIO Moukou, 46-TANNABOU Lafia Mora, 47-TANNABOU Yarou Ochéro, 48-SANRIDOURO Santana, 49-BIO SERO Issifou, 50-MORA Dénise ***** A big thank you to supervisor René Sobabe ABIOLA-TEAM.

Rev. Emmanuel Boateng is the pastor in charge of the Emmanuel AG Educational Complex, Sunyani. It was founded in the year 2012 in Kumasi, Asokwa. The school now has a total population of 542 students, with 320 females representing 49% and 222 males representing 51%. The school has fifteen (18) teaching personnel and four (6) non-teaching staff from NURSERY to JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL. There are just no computers in use in the school's computer lab. More computers are needed at the school to support successful ICT teaching and learning, as well as to assist students in accessing material from the internet via various search engines. Classes are held from 7 a.m. to 3 pm. during the week.

Full Gospel Assemblies of God school was founded in the year 1995 by Rev. Dr. Paul Kwame Nasimong. Since then, Rev, Abraham Akantaara Anasco has been running the school. The 17 teachers teach a total of 350 students at the crèche, nursery, lower and upper primary. The school has 12 different school classes. Next to the elementary school there is also a Junior High School with currently 100 students. The relationship between girls and boys is roughly balanced. The school clothes are preferably yellow and blue with our school logo. It is very important to us that our children are brought up in the Christian faith and that they learn to deal with teachers and classmates in a disciplined manner. The school`s vision is to be be one of the leading private instituition in the country and provides opportunities created by the church, staff and parents, for the children to fully develop their potential by using the available resources and promote academic execellence in an atmosphere of God fearing and discipline to benefit all learners. Classes take place during the week from 7am to 2pm. We have also set up an Internet that allows students to study online. Adults can also use the computers to obtain information for work, procurement, medicine, and many other areas. We are aware that we will get even more computers from ABIOLA if our students study their courses appropriately. Thanks to our supervisor. ***** ABIOLA is pleased to be able to contribute to the education of students in Ghana. Many thanks for assistance in setting up the computers to Pastor Dr. Daniel Ayembilla, Referee Andrew Jeremiah Nai-Mensah, Referee Jeffery Ayembilla, and Timo and David and all the other helpers.

My name is Waltraud and I live in Gambia. For Hand in Hand e.V. I was happy to visit a village that has no access to electricity. Together with the Gambian manager of the association I drove to the village of Jarko. The Alkalo, Mayor of Jarko, Mr. Mamadou Bojang, welcomed us with joy. He listened to us eagerly and invited his elders in the village to discuss the possibility of getting these mini solar stations for his village. The joy that one should have the possibility to have light in the houses, to charge telephones and to use the electricity for other necessary things was very great. This offer was gratefully accepted and the people were extremely pleased that it could be very soon. The next larger village with an energy connection is Sibanor, approx. 5km away. The power supply from the public grid does not reach the towns in the hinterland and is also not planned for the next few years. The people in the village are very grateful, well organized, tidy and very friendly. Our request to be allowed to take pictures of each family was granted immediately and when they saw each other in the pictures, they were extremely happy, some may not even know what they look like, I could tell from their reaction. It was a great pleasure for us to be a small tool for the organizations Abiola and Hand in Hand e.V. I wish you every success with installing the systems. Here are the names of the heads of families in the village who will get these facilities. Unfortunately, not all family members were present because they were either at work or at school. ***** Mamadou Bojang, Alkalo, Massanel Bojang, Alieu Bojang, Abba Bojang, Brama Bojang, Alhagie Jarjue, Nuha Jarjue, Foday Colley, Botto Colley, Ousman Jammeh, Manlafi Jammeh, Lamin Jammeh, Sagar Nyassi, Landing Nyassi, Ebrima Jallow, Lamin Jammeh, Bulley Jammeh, Landing Colley, Landing Jarjue

It is a Fulani camp which today has modernized a little since most of the Fulani who live there no longer make a living from livestock but do small business which provides them with a few pennies to meet the needs of their various families. These families, according to the information received, have not abandoned their recognized activity, I mean cattle breeding, due to lack of oxen. This explains the extreme poverty in which they live. A total of 29 families were registered in this Fulani camp, the list of which is as follows: 1-YIKROPOH Sarrè, 2-SEKOU Nazaire,3-SARRE Penso,4-SEKOU Brakou,5-TCHANDO Elisabeth,6-TCHANDO Sunday,7-SOUMAÏLAmOUSSILIOU ? 8-TORE Jules, 9-SEKOU Toussaint, 10-DAKOU Zoumarou, 11-KOURA Tine,12-OYANTO Botori,13-WEBOU Kuissiro,14-KPAKOU Nicole,15-SEKOU Philippe,16-YOTTO Jean,17-YOOTO Charles,18-ABOUBAKAR Daouda,19-MALANGA Arouna,20-ABDOULAYE Gannidji,21-MALANGA Mariam, 22-HAMADOU Oumarou, 23-ABDOULAYE Rahinatou,24-DOKO Vincent,25-TCHANDO Ignace,26-HAMADOU Ibrahim,27-NAYEROU Issa,28-FEKIBA Yato,29-FEKIBA Tchenti ***** A big thank you to supervisor René Sobabe ABIOLA-TEAM.

Dorf SOGOU

(ID: 671 | Status: Donated)

Country: Togo (Afrika)
Product(s): 50 Solar Kit 5W
IN THE VILLAGE OF SOGOU The village of Sogou is located in the canton of Nayéga; canton belonging to the prefecture of Kpendjal West, a prefecture located in the far north of the country. The village of Sogou is a landlocked village, difficult to access, creating a veritable basin around which are immobilized impressive hills exposed by the inexorable advance of desertification. The village of SOGOU has about 1300 inhabitants who belong to the Gourmantché ethnic group. It has a Village Development Committee (C.V.D.), made up of seven (07) members, namely: • A president • A vice-president • Secretary • A treasurer • An assistant treasurer • Two advisers The mission of the CVD is to promote the development of the village by seeking solutions to the problems affecting the populations: health, education, access to water, deforestation, etc. The strategies used by the CVD are essentially based on advocacy with the traditional (canton chief), administrative (prefect) and political (deputy) authorities. The urgent needs are the construction of boreholes for access to drinking water, school buildings, dispensaries and the reforestation of the bare hills in order to fight against climate change. A- ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL CONTEXT Economically, 90% of the population makes a living mainly from agriculture. It cultivates corn, sorghum, millet, peanuts, rice, soybeans and especially cotton which is the export crop, source of income for the peasants. The dough of maize, millet and sorghum are the staple foods of the people. B- COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT INFRASTRUCTURES 1. In terms of education The village of Sogou has two public primary schools, one in Sogou Tchiel and the other in Djatougou. It also has a general (secondary) education college which was built in 2017 by the GERMAN EMBASSY IN TOGO. The enrollment rate, which had been very low until then, began to improve significantly. 2. In terms of health The village of Sogou does not have a health center. The populations must move to the Naki center hospital located about 7 km from the village. The most frequent diseases are malaria, diarrheal diseases, respiratory infections which, unfortunately, are often treated indigenously. Home births are still common practice; hence the need to build a health center there. 3. In terms of access to drinking water The village of Sogou is a basin because it is surrounded by hills. As a result, the runoff water descends from the hills at high speed and crosses the village without infiltrating. This causes aridity of the soils in Sogou with the consequences of unproductive wells and boreholes. On the other hand, the village has a water reservoir located on the side of the western hills which unfortunately dries up three months after the end of the rains. It is a question of cleaning up this water reservoir and strengthening its dike in order to retain more water and to carry out off-season crops. 4. In terms of energy and rural electrification Sogou is a dark village. It does not have public lighting. This is a major handicap for the pupils who cannot work at night and for the safety of the village. C- IMPACT OF SOLARS KITS ON VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT 1. Home lighting: Home lighting will have a dual security interest: security against theft which is favored by darkness and security against the bite of reptiles and scorpions. 2. Charging the phones: Charging the phones enables their use. Nowadays, the use of the telephone is a real factor of development. The telephone makes it possible to communicate and to have information in real time. It also makes it possible to carry out economic activities through monetary transfers. 3. Student learning: The availability of lighting at home will allow students to study at night. They will thus have better academic performance, and will be able to go far to school. All this will promote the development. ***** ABIOLA thanks the President of the NGO ONG HUMANITÉ TOGO for organizing the project and handing over the SolarKits, which will be in Togo in December 2021.

Asikubi Dorf mit medizinischer Hilfsstation

(ID: 297 | Status: Donated)
Organization: Abiola gGmbH
Type: Projekt
Category: Medizinische Hilfsstation
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Ghana (Afrika)
Product(s): 16 Solar Kit 5W, 1 Solar System 60W
Asukubi is a small village with over 200 inhabitants. Her main occupation is agriculture. You have a school that ranges from KG to primary level 6. After completing primary school 6, the children have to walk miles to complete junior high school. Because of this, they have many early school leavers. You have a health facility; The facility offers service at; Outpatient clinic, children's clinic, family planning, maternity hospital, etc. The most important diseases that are brought to the health facility are malaria, anemia, arthritis, urti (cough). Asukubi is a very disadvantaged community that lacks as many social facilities as roads, electricity, tap water, etc. The parishioners are dependent on a stream that is not drinkable. The trend of poverty in this part of the regions showed spatial inequality in the regions of Ghana. Unemployment is also a big challenge. Job creation has not kept pace with population growth and has led to unemployment. This has led to citizens moving to other regions in search of alternative livelihoods. Faced with the failure of poor policies to tackle poor poverty, many of them have recently started using smallholder agriculture and burning coal as an alternative to increasing their income. If the vernacular says that when the last tree dies, the last man dies, the entire population is in trouble and is facing an accident. Traditional rulers are excited about the activities in their region and the deliberate destruction of the environment because poverty devastates the communities. They ask to have a solar light or a solar station in their village so that they can move easily. They cook after coming out of the farm late at night to help their kids study at home, etc.
