Ausbildungs- und Webzentrum Natitingou, Benin

(ID: 264 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Ausbildungszentrum
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 1 Solar System 60W
Association Gusunon Kinru is a training center specializing in weaving and jewelery making it possible for girls and young women to build a livelihood. The training lasts three years and ends with the degree issued by the State of Benin. You will receive the certificate CQM (Certificat de Qualification au Metier). Currently, 14 girls and young women are being trained in the center. The center is located in northern Benin and is headed by Ms Juliette Bossou. She receives support from the German volunteer Frida Thiedemann, who takes care of girls' literacy as well as everyday topics such as health, hygiene and sex education. In addition to their education, four girls currently have the opportunity to live there and are therefore dependent on the use of light in the evenings. Natitingou is a city where electrical energy is actually available. But the Education and Web Center is in an area where access to electricity is not easy. All attempts have so far been unsuccessful, because the distance between the power pole and the center was too large and the availability of a house in which we could install an additional meter was not guaranteed. Even if this were possible, the costs would be excessive. I would like to use this offer of a SolarKit donation, because the need in the center is great. The girls have no light to repeat or work on the learning content they received that day. It is virtually impossible for them to learn in the evenings - which slows down their development. They only have a small rechargeable flashlight, whose brightness is low. To charge their laptops, the girls have to go to the director's house, which is 500 meters from the center. Attached to this e-mail are photos of the center and the girls working in the hall and in the dormitories, the electrical wiring is available, but there is no energy available. The wiring was installed to prevent the walls from having to be broken in order to lay the cables in case of a possible power connection. Even if the kits were to be offered for sale and these prices are acceptable to us, I will make it my business to check that we can purchase them. Answer by Abiola: It is an Abiola TurboChager 60W provided with a 12V / 220V converter. We will publish the project for a while as a donation project. If there is no donor, donate it to Abiola.

Dorf Sèkou,

(ID: 653 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 24 Solar Kit 5W
Name: Sèkou, a very landlocked hamlet; Number of families: 24. Description of the project 11: Sèkou, a very landlocked hamlet. The list of hard-to-reach villages in this region of Benin is quite long and the problems from one village to another are multifaceted. Sèkou, the hamlet in which I worked last Friday May 28 is an illustration of this. A track leads to this hamlet of about twenty houses surrounded by a few camps of Fulani herdsmen. The population of this hamlet is exclusively peasant. There is no trace of electrical energy in this hamlet, which is nevertheless an essential commodity for the socio-economic development of the area. The schoolchildren here, as in the many villages already visited, are left to themselves after school. Once at home, after dark, they have no other activity to do than sleep and it is only during moonlight periods that a few children are noticeable in the playgrounds for childhood games. But unfortunately you agree with me that moonlight is not a sufficient commodity for them to learn their lessons. It is for this reason that the NGO ABIOLA is still called upon here to help these children learn their lessons and thereby improve their school results, the only guarantee of real development. 24 families have been registered in this hamlet, let's say in short the whole hamlet: ***** 1-SINROU Kouagou, 2-BABARE Emile, 3-DORE Sanni, 4-TABOUSSOUNON Orou, 5-TABOUSSOUNON Clément, 6- TABOUSSOUNON Damien , 7-DORE Boni, 8-SIME Félix, 9- ZIME C Modeste, 10-SONTA Emma, 11-SIME Bio, 12- BIO YERIMA Mamoudou, 13-BIO YERIMA Jean, 14- DARI Justin, 15-BIO YERIMA Richard, 16- SANGA David, 17- MOUSSA Bio, 18- SIME Jeanne, 19- GADO sanni, 20- FAROUKOU Amadou, 21- BIO Boni, 22-BOUBAKARI Gani, 23-BOUBAKARI Nankparo, 24- SANNI Oumarou ***** A big thanks to supervisor René Sobabe ABIOLA-TEAM.

Damanon in der Gemeinde Kouandé

(ID: 660 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 17 Solar Kit 5W
Damanon, a hamlet to be supported because of their desire to educate children. Damanon is a Peulh camp faced with the problems of almost all the villages of the commune of Kouandé. Just like in the other villages, Damanon is going through an ordeal that does not speak its name in the sense that this hamlet does not have any infrastructure capable of boosting development at all. Despite the absence of a school in the said hamlet, the parents make an effort to send their children to school in the next village, that is to say Sèkou village that I have already registered in the light portal of ABIOLA ID 653 is my 11th project. What is surprising is that although the Fulani are still eager to graze, some families in Damanon have managed to enroll their children in school. These parents need to be supported in their desire to send their children to school, hence the appeal launched here at ABIOLA to provide families in the said hamlet with family solar kits which will undoubtedly allow these children not only to be kept in school but also to improve their academic performance. The parents of these students will also be able to enjoy these kits as they will allow them to charge their mobile phones. 17 families have been registered in this hamlet and are as follows: ***** 1- YERO Bio; 2-SABI Alou; 3-WOROU Boubakari; 4-WOROU Nankoro; 5-WOROU Dembo; 6-WOROU Adamou; 7-MATCHIA Adamou; 8- MATCHIA Adama; 9- MOUSSA Bona; 10-GADO Boubakari; 11-BONI Bougnon; 12-DEMBO Bougnon; 13-GADO Ousmane; 14-GADO Oumarou; 15-BONI Gnon; 16-DJANYOU Bio; 17-AHIDJO Bansou ***** A big thank you to the supervisor René Sobabe from the ABIOLA-TEAM.

Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Kamerun (Afrika)
Product(s): 4 Raspberry Pi PC
The ESARDEF (Education for Sustainable and Rural Development Foundation) for sustainable and rural development was founded in 2014. It is a non-profit and non-political organization in Cameroon (Sub-Saharan Africa) specifically dedicated to improving education, healthcare, agriculture, environmental security, climate change resilience, nature conservation, democracy and human rights. ESARDEF believes that this is only possible through various educational activities such as: B. Building capacity and infrastructure in schools and communities towards sustainable living through formal and informal education and training programs in all sectors of the community that holistically empower everyone, especially women/girls and children/youth. The board meets three times a year. The Computer Science for Africa Association supports ESARDEF with hardware and school sponsorships. The school was supported with four computer systems from ABIOLA and works with the online courses from the ABIOLA Academy. The project will help more than 200 IDPs (Internal Displaced Persons) annually acquire computer skills that can keep them away from prostitution and illegal businesses. With their computer skills, they will be able to work in private companies or act as public secretaries in documentation centers. All this will counteract the helpless and frustrated poverty they currently find themselves in as they will be able to earn an income for themselves and their families after completing their training. At the end of the training, the girls, young women and youth will be able to understand and use basic computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher, Power Point, Excel and other applications, which is the prerequisite for better employment opportunities. ***** ABIOLA is pleased to be able to make a contribution to the education of students in Cameroon. Many thanks to Rosina Hug for helping organize and set up the computers.

Product(s): 29 Solar Kit 5W
It is a Fulani camp which today has modernized a little since most of the Fulani who live there no longer make a living from livestock but do small business which provides them with a few pennies to meet the needs of their various families. These families, according to the information received, have not abandoned their recognized activity, I mean cattle breeding, due to lack of oxen. This explains the extreme poverty in which they live. A total of 29 families were registered in this Fulani camp, the list of which is as follows: 1-YIKROPOH Sarrè, 2-SEKOU Nazaire,3-SARRE Penso,4-SEKOU Brakou,5-TCHANDO Elisabeth,6-TCHANDO Sunday,7-SOUMAÏLAmOUSSILIOU ? 8-TORE Jules, 9-SEKOU Toussaint, 10-DAKOU Zoumarou, 11-KOURA Tine,12-OYANTO Botori,13-WEBOU Kuissiro,14-KPAKOU Nicole,15-SEKOU Philippe,16-YOTTO Jean,17-YOOTO Charles,18-ABOUBAKAR Daouda,19-MALANGA Arouna,20-ABDOULAYE Gannidji,21-MALANGA Mariam, 22-HAMADOU Oumarou, 23-ABDOULAYE Rahinatou,24-DOKO Vincent,25-TCHANDO Ignace,26-HAMADOU Ibrahim,27-NAYEROU Issa,28-FEKIBA Yato,29-FEKIBA Tchenti ***** A big thank you to supervisor René Sobabe ABIOLA-TEAM.

Dorf Niarosson, Benin

(ID: 652 | Status: Donated)

Category: Dorf
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 42 Solar Kit 5W
PROJECT DESCRIPTION 9: Niarosson, a village that is really handicapped by the lack of basic needs for human life Today's visit on Friday, May 21, 2021 in the village of Niarosson, which has a population of around 2,000 and is made up of farmers, showed me that there is still a lot to do in certain areas of our country. No development can be seen in this village. There is even a water shortage that is considered a source of life as shown in this photo where several women were near the precious liquid that is water. One of the women met at the level of this well-proclaimed: "While you are thinking of giving the children this chance to go to school better, you also want to remember to give the village a water point worthy of the name. " so that the same children and their parents can at least drink clean water. This would keep them away from diarrheal diseases and thus enjoy a robust health guarantee for any development. " I replied to this complaint from this woman with tears in my eyes: The NGO ABIOLA, which I represent in Benin, unfortunately does not intervene in this area, but I will report to the head of the NGO. Another thing also shaped me in this village because, unlike other villages where the presence of electricity pylons is remarkable, this gives hope that the light in these villages, here in Niarosson, could be available very soon. There is no trace of the imminent arrival of electricity power in this village. The quick support from the NGO ABIOLA in this village will be beneficial in several ways, as the population is suffering cruelly. The children in this village are well educated as there are more than 340 students in the primary school. It will therefore be a way to support teachers in their daily efforts to get children to perform well in school. In the hope that the aforementioned request for the happiness of these children in particular and the population in general will be considered, I thank you in advance and inform you that the school project of the village in question will be sent to you shortly Families registered. Category: Schule
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Ghana (Afrika)
Product(s): 3 Raspberry Pi PC
Rev. Amoah is the founded of the school that was founded in the year 2009. Since then, Mr. Kofi Kwame-Ansah have been running the school. The school has 10 teachers teaching a total of 234 students in the departments nursery to JHS. The relationship between girls and boys is balanced. The school clothes are preferably a prescribed uniform issued by the government. It is very important to us that our children are brought up in the Christian faith and that they learn to deal with teachers and classmates in a disciplined manner. Classes take place during the week from 8am to 2pm. The transferred computers arouse great interest on the part of the students. Adult education for parents and villagers is also possible with the computer. We have also set up an Internet that allows students to study the ABIOLA online Academy courses. Adults can also use the computers to obtain information for work, procurement, medicine, and many other areas. Often times, students learn faster than teachers can teach them. We also try to use the computer to recognize special abilities of students and to promote them accordingly. The computers also enable teachers to further educate themselves. We are aware that we will get even more computers from ABIOLA if our students study their courses appropriately.

Azoungo Community

(ID: 816 | Status: Open)
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Ghana (Afrika)
Product(s): 50 Solar Kit 5W
Azoungo community is located West-East of Bawku town and shares boundaries with Tamyella and Booyala communities. The Azoungo community is divided into two communities by a river. While the main community is Azoungo, the next community is called Azuti. The two communities had been denied electricity for over three decades now and this makes life unbearable for the people. There is no reliable source of light during the night apart from moonlight. The communities have a total population of 1028 people currently living in them. Out of this population, majority of the people are youth and children of school going age and are often confronted with difficulty in learning at night. Thers is a serious scarcity of water in these communities for both human and animal cosumption. The people are mainly farmers where they cultivate crops such as,millet, maize, soyabeans, groundnut, beans, rice and also rear farm animals such as cattle, sheep, goats, fowls and guinea fowls. The women also engage in sheabutter extraction as local business , which is seasonal. The rain generally comes once in a year in the north for which Azoungo and Azuti communities are no exception. Even though people are hardworking and like to farm all year round, they cannot do so because of the one rainy season in the north. This compels people to travel to the sourthern part of Ghana to work in cocoa farms to earn money and send to their families at home. They often come home during the rainy season. It is also a well known fact that these two communities separated by a river have majority of the people living in abject poverty and cannot afford to buy lamps to use in the night. Those who have family members living outside these communities are the ones with torch lamps that need batteries replacement all the time. The offer to register them for the Abiola lamps was a welcoming news that gained acceptability by members of the two communities. The registered families are as follows; 1.Anyagre Daniel 2.Akoloba Akulock 3. Tii Clement Nagbil 4.Akuka Samuel 5. Ayembilla Eemmanuel 6. Sampana Awinzer 7. Dorf SOGOU

Country: Togo (Afrika)
Product(s): 50 Solar Kit 5W
IN THE VILLAGE OF SOGOU The village of Sogou is located in the canton of Nayéga; canton belonging to the prefecture of Kpendjal West, a prefecture located in the far north of the country. The village of Sogou is a landlocked village, difficult to access, creating a veritable basin around which are immobilized impressive hills exposed by the inexorable advance of desertification. The village of SOGOU has about 1300 inhabitants who belong to the Gourmantché ethnic group. It has a Village Development Committee (C.V.D.), made up of seven (07) members, namely: • A president • A vice-president • Secretary • A treasurer • An assistant treasurer • Two advisers The mission of the CVD is to promote the development of the village by seeking solutions to the problems affecting the populations: health, education, access to water, deforestation, etc. The strategies used by the CVD are essentially based on advocacy with the traditional (canton chief), administrative (prefect) and political (deputy) authorities. The urgent needs are the construction of boreholes for access to drinking water, school buildings, dispensaries and the reforestation of the bare hills in order to fight against climate change. A- ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL CONTEXT Economically, 90% of the population makes a living mainly from agriculture. It cultivates corn, sorghum, millet, peanuts, rice, soybeans and especially cotton which is the export crop, source of income for the peasants. The dough of maize, millet and sorghum are the staple foods of the people. B- COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT INFRASTRUCTURES 1. In terms of education The village of Sogou has two public primary schools, one in Sogou Tchiel and the other in Djatougou. It also has a general (secondary) education college which was built in 2017 by the GERMAN EMBASSY IN TOGO. The enrollment rate, which had been very low until then, began to improve significantly. 2. In terms of health The village of Sogou does not have a health center. The populations must move to the Naki center hospital located about 7 km from the village. The most frequent diseases are malaria, diarrheal diseases, respiratory infections which, unfortunately, are often treated indigenously. Home births are still common practice; hence the need to build a health center there. 3. In terms of access to drinking water The village of Sogou is a basin because it is surrounded by hills. As a result, the runoff water descends from the hills at high speed and crosses the village without infiltrating. This causes aridity of the soils in Sogou with the consequences of unproductive wells and boreholes. On the other hand, the village has a water reservoir located on the side of the western hills which unfortunately dries up three months after the end of the rains. It is a question of cleaning up this water reservoir and strengthening its dike in order to retain more water and to carry out off-season crops. 4. In terms of energy and rural electrification Sogou is a dark village. It does not have public lighting. This is a major handicap for the pupils who cannot work at night and for the safety of the village. C- IMPACT OF SOLARS KITS ON VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT 1. Home lighting: Home lighting will have a dual security interest: security against theft which is favored by darkness and security against the bite of reptiles and scorpions. 2. Charging the phones: Charging the phones enables their use. Nowadays, the use of the telephone is a real factor of development. The telephone makes it possible to communicate and to have information in real time. It also makes it possible to carry out economic activities through monetary transfers. 3. Student learning: The availability of lighting at home will allow students to study at night. They will thus have better academic performance, and will be able to go far to school. All this will promote the development. ***** ABIOLA thanks the President of the NGO ONG HUMANITÉ TOGO for organizing the project and handing over the SolarKits, which will be in Togo in December 2021.

K. O. Methodist JHS was founded in the year 1987 by the Church of Methodist. It was then under the headship of Mr. Hrry Arthur which then handed over to Mrs. Esther Badu. The school is one of the biggest school in the region yet it lacked some basic facilities and amenities. The school now has a total population of 396 students, with 220 females representing 51% and 176 males representing 49%. The school has (14) teaching personnel from NURSERY to JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL A and B. The school has no computers needed at the school to support successful ICT teaching and learning, as well as to assist students in accessing material from the internet via various search engines. Classes are held from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. during the week. The students' interest has been sparked by the repositioned PCs. Students frequently outperform their teachers in terms of learning speed. We also hope to employ technology to recognise and improve particular student abilities. Teachers can also use computers to better their education. Adult education via computer is also possible for parents and villagers. In addition, we have installed an Internet connection so that students can access the ABIOLA online Academy. Adults can use computers to obtain information for business, shopping, and medical needs, among other things. We are aware that if our students complete their courses successfully, we will receive extra computers from ABIOLA. Rev. Daniel, our General Manager, deserves our appreciation. Also to our able supervisor Pastor Jeffery Ayembilla for the time spend on travelling to and fro. ***** ABIOLA is pleased to be able to contribute to the education of students in Ghana. Many thanks for assistance in setting up the computers to Pastor Dr. Daniel Ayembilla, Referee Andrew Jeremiah Nai-Mensah, Referee Jeffery Ayembilla, and Phillip and David and all the other helpers.

They get involved actively and profitably for other people and another society. Through the voluntary services we want to enable young people to get to know other ways of life and social structures in a new environment. The voluntary services create personal encounters between people of different origins, ways of life and (cultural) influences in the host country. The family solar kits help the young people to have light at their locations in the evening hours and to charge their mobile phones so that they can stay connected to their families at home.

Daboziiri community

(ID: 876 | Status: Open)
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Ghana (Afrika)
Product(s): 50 Solar Kit 5W
The Daboziiri community is situated in the eastern part of Siiru, within the WA West District (Wecheu) of Ghana. It is an old settlement predominantly inhabited by the Dagaaba tribe. The primary occupation of the community members is farming, where they cultivate crops such as maize, cassava, tomatoes, pepper, and millet, and also rear animals. Despite their shared tribal identity, the community lacks several social amenities, including electricity, toilets, schools, and clinics. This absence forces community members to travel long distances to access these amenities, leading to a high level of school dropouts and limited access to government services. Despite these challenges, the people of Daboziiri are peace-loving and coexist harmoniously. However, they face impoverishment due to poverty and lack of social support from the government. Their main sources of income include selling produce from their farms and burning logs into charcoal. While this provides some livelihood, it is not sustainable, leaving the community eagerly anticipating the delivery of solar kits. These kits would support cooking meals and studying, especially for women and students, respectively. Currently, the community is cut off from the national grid, making the arrival of solar kits a significant development. The listed families in the community are as follows: 1. Bamoah Yokyel 2. Dorf Pélima in Nord Benin

(ID: 644 | Status: Donated)

Category: Dorf
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 33 Solar Kit 5W
Project description: Pelima, another difficult to reach village! The village of Pélima is located in the northwest of Benin in the department of Atacora, municipality of Kouandé It was in this village that one of the national heroes of our country, Benin, was born in the person of King KABA. This village has received the facilities of the Société Béninoise de l'Energie Electrique since 2019, but despite the 2013 general population and housing census that had the means to obtain the subscription, so did the few rare households of the 118 in the village's electricity network are still without light; anything that hinders the development of activities of the classes that can affect life in the village. A tour of the primary school of the said place (the photo is attached to the photos of the families) allowed me to realize the desire of the learners to continue their studies, but they all face the lack of light in their homes once forced them to It is dark to go to bed and wait for daylight to appear to pick up their notebooks. This product (light) does not even exist in classrooms. Women who have come together in small clubs for income-generating activities also face the same problem. This is the case with this lady, who has a small restaurant where she can look after her children, in short her family, and who is forced to stop her activities at the beginning of the night. With all of this in mind, a donation to the few families registered in family school kits and even the school would be of great interest to this population as it would directly or indirectly affect every resident of the named village. The following families were listed 1- BIO Nestor, 2-BABARE BONI Nestor, 3-SIMONGOU Jules, 4-MOUKA Pona, 5-SANKO Jeanette, 6-KABA N Désiré, 7-BONA SABI Robert, 8-BONA SABI Amos, 9-KABA Emmanuel, 10 -BONA Baké, 11-LAFIA Pona, 12-SANKO Pona, 13-ISSA Louis, 14-SANTCHOUKOUMA Irène, 15-SONTA CHABI Karim, 16-SABI DABO Jacques, 17-SABI DABO Worou, 18-SABI DABO Pona, 19- SABI DABO Fatouma, 20-SAMBO BIO Moïse, 21-LAFIA Gnon, 22-OROU SEKE SONTA Judicaël, 23-OROU SEKE Mathias, 24-TAMPEGOU Alima, 25-OROU SEMA Baké, 26-OROU Edith, 27-KABA Jérôme, 28 -BIO YARI Elisabeth, 29-OUASSA Antoinette, 30-ISSA Robert, 31-OROU SEKE Antoinette, 32-MAMAKOU Orou, 33-TABO Jérémie ***** A big thank you to the supervisor René Sobabe for all texts and pictures. Dorf Logofourousso

(ID: 669 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Burkina Faso (Afrika)
Product(s): 10 Solar Kit 5W
Logofourousso is a village attached to Arrondissement N ° 6 of the municipality of Bobo-Dioulasso, located in the province of Houet and in the Hauts-Bassins region in Burkina Faso. It has an estimated population of around 2,092 inhabitants primarily engaged in agriculture. The Logofourousso ethnic group are the Bobo with a migration of three to four other ethnicities. The indigenous population of the village is mostly vulnerable people who have no other economic activities than subsistence farming. There is a health and social promotion center (CSPS) in Logofourousso, the village does not have electricity for lighting, an exceptional case for a few rare families who do have solar energy. The people practice and respect their Bobo culture and make it a tradition and an ancestral resource. Consequently, this people called Bobo live in a certain precariousness since they sincerely lack the minimum subsistence level. They would be rich if they had economic activities in addition to subsistence farming. These living conditions do not allow them to meet the needs of school children who are forced to travel longer distances per day and on foot to go to school. the situation is critical since there is no light for the children to study at night and allow them to be at the same level of study and more with the children of the cities. ABIOLA will be for these children and even for the parents of these children an open door (solution) of access to light in the bush through donations of family solar kits to identified families. For this first entry to the village of Logofourousso, ten families were identified namely: 1- Ouattara Pierre, 2- Ouattara Sibiri, 3- Ouattara Paul Ardjouma, 4-Ouattara Siaka, 5- Ouattara sissoum, 6-Sanou Soungalo, 7- Sanou Boureima, 8- Ouattara Démissi Gorge, 9-Ouattara Dafra, 10- Ouattara Do mathias. ***** ABIOLA says thanks to Pastor Moise and supervisor Emmanuel.

Sabongari Sara Maradi

(ID: 651 | Status: Open)
Type: Projekt
Category: Schule
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Niger (Afrika)
Product(s): 1 Solar System 60W
The school is called Sabongari Sara Maradi and is located in the 2000-inhabitant village of Sabongari. The director's name is Omar Guiri. The village is outside of Maradi and is not connected to the electricity grid and therefore has no electricity. The school has 6 primary classes (according to the French system) with a total of 276 students and a kindergarten with 91 children. The school only has 3 masonry classrooms for this. All other classes are in straw huts, some of which are sparsely equipped, i.e. with few or no tables and chairs. Most of the children sit on the floor and there is almost no school material. The brick-built classrooms have some solar power, but the system no longer runs properly and the lighting is extremely sparse. Since the village has no electricity, the students come to study and do their homework in the evening at school, where the teachers also give tutoring. With the sparse lighting, however, this is not so easy; currently only 1 classroom is lit. A turbo charger from ABiola / Elani would help a lot, so that - so hopes the director Mr. Guiri - all classrooms can be well lit and are available for tutoring for all students. The classrooms are also used for meetings and information events. Due to the lack of lighting, this is only possible to a limited extent. A system from Abiola could support the activities of the village, even in the evening hours (from 6 p.m. the sun goes down), and the teachers could use the rooms for their own training. Since many of the adults cannot read and write, they would be very happy if a literacy course could take place for them in one of the classrooms in the future. The director already says on behalf of all students, their parents and the other teachers: "Well Gode", that means THANK YOU! ***** ABIOLA says thanks for the processing to Tanja Osterried from Hope for Niger e.V.

Emmanuel AG School Asokwa

(ID: 787 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Schule
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Ghana (Afrika)
Product(s): 3 Solar Kit 5W
Rev. Emmanuel Boateng is the pastor in charge of the Emmanuel AG Educational Complex, Sunyani. It was founded in the year 2012 in Kumasi, Asokwa. The school now has a total population of 542 students, with 320 females representing 49% and 222 males representing 51%. The school has fifteen (18) teaching personnel and four (6) non-teaching staff from NURSERY to JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL. There are just no computers in use in the school's computer lab. More computers are needed at the school to support successful ICT teaching and learning, as well as to assist students in accessing material from the internet via various search engines. Classes are held from 7 a.m. to 3 pm. during the week.

Familien SolarKits für das Dorf Koka

(ID: 766 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 18 Solar Kit 5W
DESCRIPTION OF KOKA VILLAGE Koka is a small village in the district of Tchoumi-Tchoumi about ten kilometers from the village of Moupémou which benefited from solar kits a few months ago. By word of mouth, information reached them and the village chief set in motion his relations to have my contact in order to invite me to also do the same thing in his village. So after having received my contact, he invited me then I really discovered that the need was pressing for this village also to be able to benefit from the generosity of ABIOLA which aims at nothing but the development of the children who are at school and who need the minimum to find a place under the sun like them whose parents have the grace to be free from want. Electricity, a very important commodity in school education, is lacking for these many children. In the same way, women who are for the most part unwavering support for their households also need it since this will allow them to always carry out their activities allowing them to become autonomous. I do not doubt for a moment that QBIOLA, as usual, will still have heart in responding favorably to the light needs of these populations in order to improve their daily lives. Only 18 families have been registered 1-MPO Jacqueline, 2-NKOUEI NDAH Luc, 3-BORKOU MPO Célestin, 4-KOUAGOU Albertine, 5-TENKOUSSI N Albertine, 6-NKOUEI Albertine, 7-NKOUE Blandine,8- NKOUE Pauline, 9- NTCHA Tèssortè, 10-TEKOUSSI Hervé, 11-NKOUE Emma, 12-TORE Jacqueline, 13-M’MANA Habib, 14-TCHAKOU Marcelline,15- KOUAGOU Victoire, 16- SEBA N’ DAH Mathieu, 17-NTCHA Odile, NTCHA N Paulin ***** A big thank you to supervisor René Sobabe ABIOLA-TEAM.

Students as well as teachers can benefit from the usage of the computers and are looking forward to work with them in an extended way. ***** ABIOLA is happy to contribute to the education of the students in Ghana.
