Aboh villages lies some ten kilometers up the hills from Belo 3 Corners, the main town. It has two main areas, the larger Aboh town area, and Ibalaboh, or literally the Aboh plain. Aboh is also known as the most native village in Kom and as its seat, the compound of the father of the traditional ruler of Kom - the Fon. Inhabi¬tants used kerosene lamps as lighting and if they want to recharge their phone batteries or other heavy duty devices, they have to go down to Jinkfuin. The people practice subsistence agriculture. Crops grown are corn, beans, potatoes, coco-nuts and guinea corn. The most important crop is coffee, and the coffee farms are owned by men. Beans and Irish potatoes are grown mainly by women, mostly widows. ***** We would like to thank project coordinator Rosina Hug for helping with the organization.

Product(s): 50 Solar Kit 5W
PROJET DE DISTRIBUTION DE SOLAR KITS ABIOLA DANS LE VILLAGE DE FOBENGA The village of Fobenga is situated in the canton of Naki Est; canton appartenant à la prefecture de Kpendjal Ouest, une prefecture située à l'extrême nord du pays. The populations doivent se déplacer vers l'hôpital de Naki center situé about 6 km from the village. 3. 3. ***** ABIOLA thanks the President of the NGO ONG HUMANITÉ TOGO for organizing the project and handing over the SolarKits, which will be in Togo in December 2021.

Dorf Kota Monongou

(ID: 825 | Status: Open)
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 62 Solar Kit 5W
Kota Monongou is a village located on the Natitingou-Kouandé axis, difficult to access due to the degraded state of the road leading there. It is nevertheless a village sheltering a tourist site very visited by the nationals as the foreigners. It is about the falls of Kota this beautiful natural sight with this water which flows always makes you want to stay there. The volunteers of Kinderhilfe Westafrika have had the opportunity to organize seminars there twice already. The landscape is very attractive. The populations of Kota live like everywhere else in extreme poverty. The good ladies are engaged in the sale of coal thus causing massive destruction of trees during this time nothing is done to replace them, which leads today to these multiple changes observed, one of the most felt effects currently being the rarity rainfall since the start of the rainy season. The students of this village (primary and secondary) are left to their own devices since they do not have electricity. ABIOLA would do useful work in this village by granting some family kits to the following families in the village of Kota Monongou: 1-NTCHA Jean,2-YENAWAN Lucien,3-SANSIMA Barthélémy,4-KPATAPOH Pana,5-YENAWAN Bienvenu,6-YANTO Paulin,7-TANTIKOUTE Sotima,8-ODITO Séidou,9-ODITO Sotima,10-YOMBO Luc,11-NDIMONTE Madeleine,12-NTCHA Rebecca,13-SOTIRE Henriette,14-BONI K Dénis,15-KAABOU Tchaati,16-TAMBOUTE Sinkooma,17-YOTTO Yikouro,18-YAKOUARI Yatopa,19-YONHGOBATOHOU Kaabou,20-KAABOU Armandine,21-YOMBO Marie,22-SOUMARI Hélicoptère,23-GBENOU Irène,24-YOKOSSI Hippolyte,25-SABROPA David,26-TCHESSO Tiitè,27KANTCHAKOU Dieudonné,28- YVES Rosalie,29-SOTIMA Pauline,30-TAATE Dakou,31-KA NTCHAKOU Soglo,32-YIRO Kuissiro , 33- TORE Tiyama , 34-TCHANDO Thérèse,35-KASSA Brigitte, 36- KPATAKOU Bernadette,37-NOUKOUSSI Banso,38-YOTTO Bansoubakpaté,39- DISSIRE Florence,40-TCHESSO Martine,41-PARKRO Brigitte. 42-ORICHA Jeanne,43-KATO Titou,44-FIBI Miriam ,45-KAO Nathalie.46-DOKO Marie,47-SERO Germine,49-KOUDETE Valérie,50-PAKAPOH Jeanette ,51-SOTIMA Elisabeth,52-YOKOSSI Floppé,53-SOTIREPA Prisca,54-KOBI Carine,55-KOTO Antoinette,56-SAGUI Jeanne,57-NATIKOU Noël,58-YATOPA Rosaline,59-DAO Serdamie,60-PAKAPOH Marie,61-YAGOU Sidonie,62koudete Tépa

Schule auf der Halbinsel Kokoboundji, Guinea mit 125 Kinder

(ID: 263 | Status: Open)
Organization: Abiola gGmbH
Type: Projekt
Category: Schule
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Guinea (Afrika)
Product(s): 1 Solar System 60W
The village of Taayaki with the surrounding hamlet belongs to the sector Kokoboundji, a sector of Kobayah, which is a district of the capital Conakry, Guinea. Kokoboundji is a peninsula separated from the mainland by a wide inlet. There is no bridge to the mainland. The peninsula has about 900 - 1000 inhabitants. The inhabitants live on fishing, are very poor and mostly illiterate. Their income hardly covers the daily necessities of life. There is no road to Taayaki, and there are no roads all over the Kokoboundji peninsula. Taayaki can only be reached from Kobayah by a 2-hour walk. You march on dams that lead through a marshy plain with paddy fields. During the rainy season you wade partially knees to waist deep in the mud and water. Taayaki and the entire Kokoboundji peninsula lack any infrastructure. There is no fresh water, no electricity, no health care and until March 2016 there was no school. The development aid organization DYARAMA founded a primary school in March 2016 in Taayaki. First as a multi-class class, preschool, 1st - 3rd grade, in a small provisional. In March 2018, DYARAMA was able to start construction of a school building, which is now ready to commence school at the beginning of October 19. The schoolhouse has 6 classrooms, 2 teacher rooms and a toilet / shower section for the children. DYARAMA is also building a well in Taayaki-Kibissir. In the new schoolhouse, all children from all over Kokoboundji can now attend primary school. There are currently 125 children enrolled in 5 classes. The primary school is fully funded by DYARAMA, there is no school fees charged in view of the low income of the population. The school is state recognized, but receives no contributions due to the lack of funds. In most of the rural areas of Guinea there are no public schools due to lack of financial resources. A SolarKit would be a welcome addition and help for the DYARAMA school. This could illuminate the classroom and staff rooms. Electronic media such as PC, Internet, beamer, etc. could be used for school lessons. The classrooms could be illuminated, and so evening classes for the literacy of parents and the population would be possible. The teachers, the headmaster and the school maintenance staff are housed externally in mud huts and in the converted old school temporary home. Each family kit would make their job immensely easier.

Village Tantikou

(ID: 705 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 25 Solar Kit 5W
Village of Tantikou in the commune of Toucountouna Tantikou is a small village in the commune of Toucountouna located 5 km from the road leading to the Burkina Faso border on the east side. This small village is headed by a king whose palace is pictured in one of the photos. I received the invitation to go to this village from a pastor who has a farm near the village and who has had time to see the suffering faced by the people living there. It is a village that I discovered for the very first time and which gave me goosebumps because the populations are actually far from urban realities despite its proximity to Natitingou, the chief town of the Atacora department. Contrary to what I have seen in some villages visited, even the solar panels that we are used to seeing in some houses, here it is almost non-existent proof of the extreme poverty in which this population vegetates. ABIOLA is then called upon to come to the rescue in order to grant some family kits to the families registered in this village, which would change their way of life a little and would undoubtedly improve the performance of the students of this village. The families registered in this village are as follows: 1-DOKO Serges, 2-TANTOUGOUTE Tantougouté Paul, 3-SAGUI Yiriko, 4-TORE Marie, 5-DOKO Tchorouwé, 6-TANTOUGOUTE Ignace, 7-YOTTO Jules, 8-DORBOU Banso, 9-SAGUI Angèle, 10-TANTOUGOUTE Wouripos, 11-YATOPA Pascal, 12-GADO Christophe, 13-BORGOU Saguipé, 14- BASSEKIMA Bétipe, 15- TANTOUGOUTE Elie, 16-TANTOUGOUTE Jérôme, 17- WINDEYAMA Rigobert, 18- KADO Bodarima, 19-SAGUI Benjamin, 20-YATOPA Foropé, 21- TCHONMI Zoumarou, 22- TORA Sotirate, 23-SAGUI Degaulle, 24-SAGUI Bonavnture, 25-TCHENTI Emile

(ID: 670 | Status: Donated)
Organization: A.N.A organisation

Category: Dorf
Project manager: Christoph Köhler

Product(s): 25 Solar Kit 5W
Kikwit, Democratic Republic of the Congo, is a city approximately 547 km from the capital Kinshasa. The Ndekezulu village that belongs to the city has no electricity and the families who live there often sleep by the candles, which means that there is too much fire in the village. The children cannot return to their classes, which makes it very difficult to raise the children. The request for help from Solar Kit will be an important support that can only be of use for the light, for the learning of the children, for the charging of the phones. Mr. Cyrille Mupassa, the coordinator of the association "L´avenir est à nous" "ANA" has been looking for a number of years to help this village and its members with the various development projects. ABIOLA thanks Emmanuel Mukulu for organizing, transporting and handing over the SolarKits to the families.

Asifaw Dorf in Ost Ghana

(ID: 199 | Status: Donated)
Organization: Abiola gGmbH

Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Ghana (Afrika)
Product(s): 19 Solar Kit 5W
Asifaw is village in eastern part of Ghana in the Okere district. Households in Asifaw South and North have no electricity and they only use kerosene lamps as their primary source of lighting. The inhabitants in this rural farming community lack so many amenities: Every night, young people get together to study using their local lamps, at night, when they could use the time for studying what they learn in the daytime they can’t review in the night because there is no light. Self-satisfaction makes life worth living. We live in a world that encompasses a major share of the poor and downtrodden. Each person may have a different need in his/her life. While some yearn for success, some don't have the most basic amenities such as a light. How good it will be if we try to bring smiles to those sad faces? Generosity is an easily doable exercise. We all must remember one thing that helping others is a blessing in disguise. Asifaw has no power supply. This people who live here are particularly poor and for whom an Abiola SolarKit would be very valuable and who could not afford this SolarKit. We selected 19 affected families. Thank you.

Landwirtschaftliches Projekt GAVISA in Kpalimé/Togo

(ID: 558 | Status: Open)
Organization: Projekt GAVISA
Type: Projekt
Category: Landwirtschaftliches Projekt
Project manager: Anonym
Country: Togo (Afrika)
Product(s): 1 Solar System 60W
The non-profit project is located about 12 km from Kpalimé, in the village of Yéviéppé-Dzogbé (municipality of Kloto) and covers an area of 3 ha with the following infrastructure: - ½ ha trees and fruit trees, vegetable garden and pineapple field, cultivation of aromatic and medicinal plants, building for plant breeding (3200 sqm) sheepfold (12 sheep) and chicken coop with run for approx. 100 chickens (approx. 2000 sqm) building for the production of tapioca cereals such as Corn, cassava, .. (1.8 ha) Residential building: simple house with 3 small rooms for employees, interns, trainees), pavilion for kitchen and sanitary facilities, guest rooms made of bamboo and pavilion for educational purposes (1200 sqm) - fountain (7 meters deep) and water cistern The site is owned by the non-profit organization GAVISA (with 11 members), which was officially registered in the association register in 2013. Project objectives: Obligation to practice sustainable ecological agriculture (bio-dynamic) Sensitization and cooperation with the farmers in the area, the aim is agriculture without chemical fertilizers with natural crop rotation and green manuring, educational events on agricultural and nutritional questions, cooperation with schools: regular theoretical and practical work with young people from the surrounding area, since 2015 collaboration with an agricultural project in Sokodé, authorization for a 2-year apprenticeship (Certificat d'aptitude à la production agro-bio), internships for school pupils and students from Europe in collaboration with students from Togo (there are also contact partners in Germany). Project problems: high water demand and lack of electricity The consequence: In order to make the GAVISA project fit for the future, we would have to manage a larger part of the property available to us. This implies 1. more workers (interns, trainees) who should also live in the field. 2. Another simple house with several rooms (we can do that with our own financial means). 3. equipping the site with electricity (solar energy for: lighting the house and garden work rooms as well as the possibility of using technical devices such as laptops, cell phone charging, electric hot plates). Thanks to these improvements, we could prepare plantings in the evening and hold seminars after 6 p.m. and optimize the quality of the training (e.g. by doing our own research on the computer or reading specialist articles).

Dörfer Tampatou und Tecktibayaou

(ID: 675 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 28 Solar Kit 5W
Tampatou and Tecktibayaou are two villages in the commune of Toucountouna located on the Natitingou-Tanguieta axis that I had the chance to visit today Wednesday, October 20, 2021. I specify here that due to the field work that is underway in these villages, the populations were warned of my coming and therefore they were already waiting for me. Life in these villages is quite difficult. The soils are quite poor nowadays so that without fertilizer the profitability is very low. The population of these two villages live in extreme poverty because they actually practice subsistence agriculture, which does not allow them to meet the basic needs of their families. Electricity is a luxury in these villages since for them what matters is how to find accommodation, how to eat and how to take care of oneself. Children in these two villages suffer a lot to learn their lessons. A man in the village of Tecktibayaou told me that on the eve of my arrival in this village, children were learning their lessons on Tuesday October 19 with a torch. The batteries having become weak, they could not continue. My presence was very well received by these populations who already see that the suffering of these children will decrease a lot as soon as ABIOLA winks at them by granting them the family kit. Their complaint is therefore to grant these families recorded this famous sesame perceived as a luxury for these populations but which in reality is a very important tool for development. They are impatiently awaiting this day when Abiola will tell them, I heard your cry of heart and here is what you always missed. Here is the list of families 1-TCHIMBATA Sylvie, 2-YAKOUARI Thomas, 3-YAKOUARI Nongouté, 4-YANTO Yassima, 5-NONGOUTE IRO Julien 6- KOUAGOU Yedottè, 7-KOUAGOU Baroka, 8-WINDEYAMA Mèré, 9 - YOMBO Thomas, 10- BAROKA Martine, 11-TCHANTI Marcos, 12-SEKOU Célestine, 13-POUSKATE Natikou, 14-OROU Boni, 15-TCHANDO Sika. 16-TANTOUKOUTE Yoro, 17-TAMPEKOU Dokopé, 18-OROU Adama, 19-BONI Yako, 20-WANGOU Kpakiré, 21-FARA Sahi, 22-YOROPE Philomène, 23-KASSA Wantori, 24-KASSA Dakou, 25-KOUTINA Yarou, 26-WINDEYAMA Biouto, 27-TCHOROUKATE Kouarfaté, 28-CHABI Odette. ***** Many thanks to the organizer Rene Sobabe. The voluntary services offer young people the opportunity to work on projects in West Africa and other parts of the world for a certain period of time. Through their service, the volunteers support social diaconal projects that are initiated and managed by our local partner organizations. They get involved actively and profitably for other people and another society. Through the voluntary services we want to enable young people to get to know other ways of life and social structures in a new environment. The voluntary services create personal encounters between people of different origins, ways of life and (cultural) influences in the host country. The family solar kits help the young people to have light at their locations in the evening hours and to charge their mobile phones so that they can stay connected to their families at home.

Juambum is in the Anjin area, gateway up the hills to Njinikom Sub division as you approach toward Mulion. The distance from Belo town is 12 kilometers. It has no bordering commu¬nity far north except the hills and parts of Ijim Mountain forest. The community has large compounds and people still largely practice polygamy. You can find more than five wives at a compound, and the man dies, it means five women without a husband. People at Juambum used kerosene lamps. They recharge their phone batteries in Muloin or Anjin.

The school was established in the year 2004 by Assemblies of God, church in the community. Since then Rev John Felix Yeboah and his wife have been running the school. There are fifteen teachers who teach a total of 350 students. There are also thirteen school classes and one computer laboratory. We also have kindergarten, elementary and Junior High School pupils. The ratio between boys and girls is balanced. Since the school is a mission school, children are groomed in the christian faith and that they learn to cope with teachers and classmates in a discipline manner. Classes take place during the week days from 8:00am-2:30pm. The transfer of the computers may have a great impact on the part of the students and teachers as well. The school also allows the students to have access to the computers laboratory for special assignments or project works. Teachers also use the computers to prepare lesson notes and make relevant research. We hope to get more computers to enhance teaching and learning. Count on your cooperation. ***** ABIOLA is pleased to be able to contribute to the education of students in Ghana. Mary, ein Stadtteil von Kouandé

(ID: 645 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 23 Solar Kit 5W
DESCRIPTION OF 6th project: Mary, a district of the city of Kouandé but containing signs of extreme poverty Kouandé is one of the 77 municipalities in Benin. The central district even though it has the minimum of electricity and water, there is a district that shows signs of extreme poverty. This is the case with this neighborhood that I traveled through with the chef quartier visiting some of the families whose situation is so worrying. Children in most of the families visited are left to fend for themselves. Which suddenly hinders their education and the much-desired development. Parents do not have the minimum, so it is impossible for them to subscribe in order to benefit from the electric current that can help them in their activities. Children who find it difficult to accept schooling are still comforted in their position because in the evenings they are forced to play games because they do not have the light to allow them to learn their lessons. Faced with such an observation, I had goose bumps and suddenly I said to myself that an intervention on the part of the NGO ABIOLA in order to save these children who did not choose to be in this state. would be greeted at its fair value not only on the part of the families who will benefit from the family solar kits but also on the part of the politico-administrative authorities of Kouandé. As was the case in the first villages, some women who carry out income-generating activities are also faced with a lack of light reducing their chance of making a little more money since once night has fallen, they are forced to do everything. tidy. ***** Here is the list of families that are concerned 1-OROU BAKARA Gaya, 2-SABI Issaou, 3 –MIDARIGUI Chabi Richard, 4-MARISSOUNON Gounou, 5- SIO Dèré, 6-IMOROU Ismaïla, 7-NKOUEI Ernest, 8-ABDOULAYE Wazariatou, 9-KPEKEREKOU Léon, 10-GBEROU Boni, 11-BOUESSABI Bonatoko, 12-MORA Orou Baro, 13-SEKE Gaya, 14-BOURAïMA Maïmounatou, 15-SEKOSSOUNON Abou, 16-KORA Bougnon Douwé, 17-SEKE Simin, 18- OROU SIME Gaya, 19-SERO Gnaki, 20-MORA Gounou, 21-IMOROU Loubatou, 22-ADJIBI Thimothée, 23-TCHANKPANGOU Wérédossi***** Many thanks to the organizer Rene Sobabe. Ganikpérou, like almost all villages in the municipality of Kouandé, is difficult to access. While this village is electrified, some families still remain in the dark as their income from working in the fields prevents them from subscribing to the Beninese Electricity Energy Company (SBEE) conventional network. Some teachers are in this village with no electricity, making it difficult to prepare for class or correct homework. The situation with the students is the same or worse, which has a negative effect on the school results of the place. Income generating activities are also negatively impacted, as as soon as night falls everyone retires to their homes and waits for the sun to reappear. Faced with this situation, the support of these few families registered in this village in family solar kits will enable them to get out of this precarious situation, both in terms of education and in terms of developing income-generating activities. ***** 1- BOUKARI Boni, 2-GATA Bio, 3- OROU Barnabas, 4- BATIA Gnon,5-OROU Benjamin,6-KOUTI Alain, 7- OROU CHABI KINA Pona, 8-SAMBIENI Zénabou, 9-OROU YERIMA Béatrice,10- SABI KINA Nicaise,11-SABI KINA Gnon Yérima,12-BIO Antoine,13-MAKO Bougnon,14-KOURA BIO Bougnon,15-SAMBIENI Odette,16-SABI Fatouma,17-BAGANA Elisée,18-GNAKA Orou, 19- WABA Michel,20-SANGA Gnaka,21-OROU Bio,22- MONTA B Gnaka,23- SABI Richard,24-BONI Colette,25-TARO Worou,26-WAMBA Séidou,27-BONI Baké,28-HOUNTEGNON José ***** A big thank you to the supervisor René Sobabe for all texts and pictures. The The capital, Ouagadougou, is located in the center of the country and has around 2.5 million residents a total of around 20.5 million inhabitants (according to the 2019 census). The primary school and kindergarten have now been transformed into a children's center through the construction of a vocational school and a secondary school. The children's center has almost 600 students and trainees who are looked after and cared for every day.

The school has the supervision of several Reverend Fathers but currently under Reverend Baako Dawda. Currently, the school has primary A, B and a Junior High School (JHS) cluster in same area with the Church main Building. The primary A and B has a total population of 381 pupil, boys and girls are 172 and 207 respectively. Also, the Junior High School has a population of 151 pupil , 77 boys and 74 hirls and a teacher population of 10 being supervised by Sumani Abibata. As we write, the school has no computer laboratory, teachers used their own personal computer s along with smart phones to teach students. Even though the School have extra class rooms that can be serve as computer laboratory they are not able to acquire computer s to fill the said classrooms. indeed computing play a very pivotal role in todays education. it cut across Mathematics, Science and English and all other elective subjects run in the school. the presence of computer laboratory in the school will encourage student attendance. it will also reduce students attitude of running away to private internet cafe during classes hours as most at time our students are being caught. To conclude, the present of computer laboratory will be of great beneficiary to students, teachers and the entire community during lesson delivery and self peractice hour. ***** ABIOLA is pleased to be able to contribute to the education of students in Ghana. Many thanks for assistance in setting up the computers to Pastor Dr. Daniel Ayembilla, Referee Andrew Jeremiah Nai-Mensah, Referee Jeffery Ayembilla, and Timo and David and all the other helpers.

Village Didapoumbo

(ID: 706 | Status: Donated)

Product(s): 31 Solar Kit 5W
Village of Didapoumbo Didapoumbo, a village in the third arrondissement of the commune of Natitingou, is a village that I discovered yesterday for the very first time and which gave me chills in the sense that it does not have an infrastructure outside of the public primary school. The children are sometimes forced to travel nearly kilometers before reaching their school. The support of the Beninese government with the creation of canteens reduces the pain of children since they no longer have to go home for lunch. They have a meal every lunchtime at school which for most children is a stimulus to keep them in school. The populations of this village live a precarious life and the houses are very distant from each other since agricultural crops are practiced all around the houses. The information that I work with an NGO that assists poor families to benefit from family solar kits allowing children to learn their lessons and women carrying out income-generating activities to continue them, reached them through a parent whose daughter is in training at my wife's training center. So he was quick to request that I go to this village. The misery of the people is great. Children, like in the majority of villages, suffer from the lack of electricity. The village chief at the sight of the photos taken during the ceremony of handing over the kits in other villages has already only thanked this initiative since he notes that it is not a question of deceiving them. This means that through these 31 families registered in the village, ABIOLA will impact the life of an entire village. Product(s): 40 Solar Kit 5W
DIWEYANI is a group of women in the commune of Boukombé precisely in the Koussokpangou district. While I was distributing the solar kits in Kouandata, NTCHA Bibiane, president of the Association for the Development and Promotion of Women in Boukombé (ADPEB/MASAA?) approached me and to plead in favor of the women's groups of certain villages of Boukombé. Indeed Mrs. Bibiane NTCHA works for the full development of the women of this commune and DIWEYANI here is a group which exists and the said women organizes small tontines which allow them to carry out small income-generating activities and thereby support the efforts of their husbands for the education and schooling of their children. This group is made up of women. Unfortunately when I passed by, not all of them were present.
