The computer also allows for adult education for parents and villagers. We have also installed an Internet connection so that students can study the ABIOLA online Academy courses. Adults can utilise computers to get information for work, shopping, medical, and a variety of other purposes. Ecole Primaire Publique de Pélima

(ID: 648 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Schule
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 1 Solar System 60W
Pélima Public Primary School Pelima Public Primary School, founded in 1983, currently has 4 classrooms instead of the 6 a school of that age should have. It is currently headed by the headmistress OROU WARI Jacques. The information received from this school leads to considerations and strategies that prompt parents not only to send children to school, but also to encourage them to stay there. With the presence of the school canteen in this school, the Benin government is making efforts in this direction so that the children have the right to a hot meal every working day from Monday to Friday. The photos that were taken in this school while the children were eating are evidence of this. So far in this village there has been this mentality that the hero KABA never wanted to go to school when in reality he did. He fought the French invasion to defend and protect his people. Unfortunately, in the 21st century, some are reluctant to send their children to school. The numbers in the classrooms are illustrative. Some classes have fewer than 20 students, except in a single class that has more than 70 students. According to the headmaster, that number will decrease from 70 students in this class, so that two years later we will barely have twenty. ABIOLA could support the government's efforts to keep children in school by equipping this school with an ABIOLA TurboCharger 60W, which will illuminate the classrooms and allow these children to follow lessons continuously regardless of bad weather (harmattan, rain, wind) can. ***** Un grand merci à l'organisateur René Sobabe. Primärschule in Loswaki, Tansania

(ID: 293 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Schule
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Tansania (Afrika)
Product(s): 1 Solar System 60W
On August 2, 2019, we were able to hand over the completely renovated and expanded primary school in the village of Loswaki (3 ° 50'26.29 "S, 36 ° 33'56.44" E) (Simanjiro District, Tanzania) to the district government as the operator of the school , The girls and boys can now be taught in friendly and solid classrooms instead of dilapidated ancient buildings. In addition to the classrooms and new toilet facilities, the school has also received four new houses for teachers, so that the 800 pupils can now be taught by significantly more than the previous 5 teachers: because the teachers need houses for themselves and their families in which they can live at school. There are no apartments or houses for rent. But the new houses have no light, so the teachers have no way of preparing for classes in the evenings. An Abiola SolarKit is designed to remedy this so that teachers come to class well prepared in the morning.

Familien SolarKits für das Dorf Koka

(ID: 766 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 18 Solar Kit 5W
DESCRIPTION OF KOKA VILLAGE Koka is a small village in the district of Tchoumi-Tchoumi about ten kilometers from the village of Moupémou which benefited from solar kits a few months ago. By word of mouth, information reached them and the village chief set in motion his relations to have my contact in order to invite me to also do the same thing in his village. So after having received my contact, he invited me then I really discovered that the need was pressing for this village also to be able to benefit from the generosity of ABIOLA which aims at nothing but the development of the children who are at school and who need the minimum to find a place under the sun like them whose parents have the grace to be free from want. Electricity, a very important commodity in school education, is lacking for these many children. In the same way, women who are for the most part unwavering support for their households also need it since this will allow them to always carry out their activities allowing them to become autonomous. I do not doubt for a moment that QBIOLA, as usual, will still have heart in responding favorably to the light needs of these populations in order to improve their daily lives. Only 18 families have been registered 1-MPO Jacqueline, 2-NKOUEI NDAH Luc, 3-BORKOU MPO Célestin, 4-KOUAGOU Albertine, 5-TENKOUSSI N Albertine, 6-NKOUEI Albertine, 7-NKOUE Blandine,8- NKOUE Pauline, 9- NTCHA Tèssortè, 10-TEKOUSSI Hervé, 11-NKOUE Emma, 12-TORE Jacqueline, 13-M’MANA Habib, 14-TCHAKOU Marcelline,15- KOUAGOU Victoire, 16- SEBA N’ DAH Mathieu, 17-NTCHA Odile, NTCHA N Paulin ***** A big thank you to supervisor René Sobabe ABIOLA-TEAM.

Chipunga Primary School

(ID: 179 | Status: Open)
Type: Projekt
Category: Schule
Project manager: Dr. Jens Dientrich
Country: Malawi (Afrika)
Product(s): 1 Solar System 60W
Chipunga is a region with about 1,600 inhabitants. It is located 25 km northeast of Mzuzu Nkhata Bay District. Especially at Chipunga is the coffee and Marcademia farm, in which also some inhabitants have found a job. Like most villages in the area, there is no electricity in Chipunga either. It lead Although huge electricity marshes through the very rural village, but the population has no use it. These are the high voltage power lines that lead from Mozambique to Zambia. The street from Mzuzu to Chipunga is in bad condition, especially in the rainy season. In Chipunga there is a state elementary school, which has over 350 students visit daily. Primary education at state schools is free in Malawi. in the Unlike Germany, elementary school in Malawi goes up to the 8th grade. In primary school in Chipunga teach 7 state-employed teachers, one of Grace and the community assisted teacher and an assistant teacher. The primary school has only 6 classrooms, for their 8 classes, which is why the standard 3 and Standard 4 taught in the dry season outside or under a small sun canopy become. In the rainy season, buildings in the area are searched, e.g. a church or an unfinished teacher's house, which are then diverted to the classroom. The Classes are from 7:00 to 13:00, twice a week there are afternoons Football for the boys and netball for the girls. A well is about 200 meters from the school and supplies the more than 350 students with water. The students in Chipunga are lucky, there is a School Feeding Program, which Grace sponsors, so the children have the opportunity once a day during the break To eat porridge. So no child has to sit hungry in the classroom. Now that you have a rough idea of the situation of primary school in Chipunga Here are some reasons why a solar system is needed: - A solar system is needed to have light in the classrooms. - Especially for the 8th grade, they stay the last weeks before their exams in the school to be able to study in the evening. This is good lighting in the Classroom very important. - So far, solar lamps and a small solar system were used, which on the one hand not enough light can donate and on the other hand, the quality is not good, so they break quickly. - In addition, the teachers need light for the next lesson prepare and be able to correct tests.

Sabongari Sara Maradi

(ID: 651 | Status: Open)
Type: Projekt
Category: Schule
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Niger (Afrika)
Product(s): 1 Solar System 60W
The school is called Sabongari Sara Maradi and is located in the 2000-inhabitant village of Sabongari. The director's name is Omar Guiri. The village is outside of Maradi and is not connected to the electricity grid and therefore has no electricity. The school has 6 primary classes (according to the French system) with a total of 276 students and a kindergarten with 91 children. The school only has 3 masonry classrooms for this. All other classes are in straw huts, some of which are sparsely equipped, i.e. with few or no tables and chairs. Most of the children sit on the floor and there is almost no school material. The brick-built classrooms have some solar power, but the system no longer runs properly and the lighting is extremely sparse. Since the village has no electricity, the students come to study and do their homework in the evening at school, where the teachers also give tutoring. With the sparse lighting, however, this is not so easy; currently only 1 classroom is lit. A turbo charger from ABiola / Elani would help a lot, so that - so hopes the director Mr. Guiri - all classrooms can be well lit and are available for tutoring for all students. The classrooms are also used for meetings and information events. Due to the lack of lighting, this is only possible to a limited extent. A system from Abiola could support the activities of the village, even in the evening hours (from 6 p.m. the sun goes down), and the teachers could use the rooms for their own training. Since many of the adults cannot read and write, they would be very happy if a literacy course could take place for them in one of the classrooms in the future. The director already says on behalf of all students, their parents and the other teachers: "Well Gode", that means THANK YOU! ***** ABIOLA says thanks for the processing to Tanja Osterried from Hope for Niger e.V.

Mädchenhaus 1 - SolarLicht für das Waisendorf HELP for the NEEDY, Nigeria

(ID: 296 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Waisenhaus
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Nigeria (Afrika)
Product(s): 5 Solar Kit 5W, 1 Solar System 60W
Sleeping in a single room with 200 or more people? At the "Christian Home For The Needy" in the south of Nigeria, this is normal. Since 2015, the "Christian home for the needy" has grown from around 450 to currently over 4500 people. The vast majority of these people are children, adolescents and widows who had to flee terrorist attacks. Many of them have seen all their belongings stolen and some of their families killed. In the "Christian Home For The Needy" they were able to find a new home and are provided with everything they need to survive. There is free food, free schooling and above all a safe place to live for everyone. As the number of residents has increased so quickly in recent years, there are major challenges with regard to the accommodation situation. More light is urgently needed in and around the cramped accommodations. An Abiola solar kit should illuminate one of the houses in the area of women / girls in the dark so that it becomes easier and safer to move around in the house, to go to the toilet at night or to study for school in the evenings. In addition, 5 ABIOLA Family SolarKits are added to this project, which the children can then use for going to the toilet, reading, learning and more ..

Product(s): 33 Solar Kit 5W
Project description: Pelima, another difficult to reach village! The village of Pélima is located in the northwest of Benin in the department of Atacora, municipality of Kouandé It was in this village that one of the national heroes of our country, Benin, was born in the person of King KABA. This village has received the facilities of the Société Béninoise de l'Energie Electrique since 2019, but despite the 2013 general population and housing census that had the means to obtain the subscription, so did the few rare households of the 118 in the village's electricity network are still without light; anything that hinders the development of activities of the classes that can affect life in the village. A tour of the primary school of the said place (the photo is attached to the photos of the families) allowed me to realize the desire of the learners to continue their studies, but they all face the lack of light in their homes once forced them to It is dark to go to bed and wait for daylight to appear to pick up their notebooks. This product (light) does not even exist in classrooms. Women who have come together in small clubs for income-generating activities also face the same problem. This is the case with this lady, who has a small restaurant where she can look after her children, in short her family, and who is forced to stop her activities at the beginning of the night. With all of this in mind, a donation to the few families registered in family school kits and even the school would be of great interest to this population as it would directly or indirectly affect every resident of the named village. It has the first and second cycles with a staff of 1356 students. Cobly for ABIOLA is not a newcomer since the NGO has made people happy in several villages of the said commune such as OUOROU, Didakiré, Kepousdéssikè, Kadiéni, Bagapodi and I forget .. This therefore explains the commitment of the authorities of this school and the deputy Domitien N'OUEMOU to support this work in order to prevent the sons of the commune of Cobly from being cited among the illiterates of the 21st century in the future. For the record, let's remember that the girls footballers of the CEG of Cobly won the national school championship in 2022 which allowed them to represent Benin in the school football championship of the UFOA: Union of West African Football Federations zone B organized in Ivory Coast and that they won. ***** A big thank you to supervisor René Sobabe ABIOLA-TEAM.

The school now has a total population of 350 students, with 200 females representing 51% and 150 males representing 49%. The school has fifteen (12) teaching personnel and four (3) non-teaching staff from NURSERY to JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL. There are just five computers in use in the school's computer lab. Schülerwohnheim in Oussouye / Senegal

(ID: 230 | Status: Donated)
Organization: Abiola gGmbH

Category: Soziale Unterbringung
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Senegal (Afrika)
Product(s): 3 Solar Kit 5W
In order to enable pupils from remote small villages with only 6 classes of elementary school in Oussouye to attend further education and vocational schools, they need accommodation. We build these buildings in the cheapest way, i. E. For example: the building blocks are manufactured manually at the construction site. The shells, which are used for lime-making, collect the women in the sea .... We had first built the ground floor of a girls dorm (beginning of 2012) - with solar power, only when it was already inhabited for some years, we could put upstairs, this will be inhabited in this school year (kitchen, separate, because open fire). Now we are in the process of constructing this for the boys as well. The ground floor will be built in a few months, but not yet ready for occupancy. When we have enough money + promotion to set up a floor, is still uncertain. I hope we can continue to build next year. For the Burschenhaus we need solar power, also because no power line available. 1st construction phase: ground floor with 8 rooms + home lighting + computer + cellphone charging.

Dorf Moupémou

Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 38 Solar Kit 5W
The village of Moupémou is located in the Perma district southwest of Natitingou so not far from the border of its western neighbor I mean the sister Republic of Togo. There is a track that leads into the village but despite all this the village does not have the necessary amenities for its full development. Electric power is non-existent in the said village which poses the cruel problem that the learners living there will have to face. The difficulty I had to face in said village is the fact that most of the populations are peasants; I had to go to the said village twice. So although people are interested in the offer they promise, they are forced to face the harvest before returning to register. The populations encountered are so thirsty to be granted this opportunity to benefit from this element which will change their way of life by allowing their children to be competitive at school and parents to now have the possibility of recharging their batteries. mobile phones. Counting on the good faith of the representative of ABIOLA in Benin and of ABIOLA personally, these populations wish to express their satisfaction and their gratitude to the generous donors. The higher technical college for business and technology is located in the Southwest (Kumba) and Littoral (Douala) regions of Cameroon and is a private university fully accredited by the Cameroonian Ministry of Higher Education. Education in Cameroon is traditionally more theoretical than practical (vocational), and in today's technological and globalized world, this approach to learning puts young graduates at a disadvantage. They are neither able to be competitive nor to develop their own initiative at the local level and are therefore dependent on employment from the state - a situation that is no longer sustainable and is becoming increasingly difficult. SwissLink is based on the Swiss education system and combines Swiss and Cameroonian academic and professional practices. SwissLink thus offers students in Douala and Kumba a unique experience. ***** ABIOLA is pleased to be able to make a contribution to the education of students in Cameroon. Many thanks to Rosina Hug for helping organize and set up the computer.
