Brigitte Ankele works Volunteer for the Lions Clup Kempten-Cambodunum and has been caring for villages in GHANA in the Akwapim region for many years. The focus of their work is to inform the population about how water with PET bottles can be treated by means of solar energy in such a way that it can be easily drunk from a health basis. At Abiola, Ms. Ankele asked if she could take an off-grid solar system with her to GHANA to be able to clarify the demand suburb.

We thought that you would give the system to a friendly family and gave it the smallest Abiola 10 W system from the manufacturer Lemi. See picture. This system includes a small 4000 mAh battery and various outputs:

On the one hand, the device has 3 outputs for LED lamps (see picture) with an 8m extension cord and a conventional light switch. Onthe other hand, the device has 2 USB outputs where powerbanks or mobile phones can be charged.

In fact, Ms. Ankele donated the system to the school Asifaw M/A Basic school with 164 students and affiliated kindergarten in the bush village of Asifaw.

According to Ms Ankele, people in the village are infinitely grateful for having light and being able to learn at school in the evening. During the day, cell phones are charged there.

The system was then installed and tested there. Here’s a 50 sec. Long video clip from commissioning.
